Parameters to consider when selecting a diaphragm seal: PRESSURE
RATINGS:
Maximum allowable pressure for the application or system use needs to be specified and
must no be exceeded. Teflon, Polypropylene, PVC and other plastics are not designed
to withstand pressures as do their metal equivalents and should be used only on low
pressure service. All allowable pressures decrease when temperature increases,
150#@75ºF, 120#@100ºF,80#@150ºF.
SPECIAL DIAPHRAGMS:
The standard diaphragm is 316L stainless steel, to order a diaphragm made of another
material you can select one of the materials listed below.

LOWER HOUSINGS:
All model seals are available in many corrosion resistant materials and optional features
as listed below, selection of material and compatibility of material and process fluid is
the responsibility of the user. The assist in material selection see our chemical compatibility table.

LIQUID FILLINGS:
The selection of the fill depends on the temperature expected in any given application.
The standard filling, Instrument Oil, is rated 0-250 degrees F. Other types
of fillings available are listed below with their temperature ratings.
Silicone 210H -40 to 600 degrees F
Halocarbon upon request
CAPILLARY LINES:
If your application requires a stainless steel capillary line, specify one of the
following and the desired length when ordering.
Stainless Steel plain tube 1/4" N.P.T. conn.
Stainless Steel plain tube 1/2" N.P.T. conn.
Stainless Steel Armored 1/4" N.P.T. conn.
